Adult Virtual Paint Night - Mermaid Tail Online
Dive into a fun painting class in our adult summer reading program, "Tails & Tales." Art Instructor Danica Thurber will guide you step-by-step in painting a simple underwater scene, complete with a mermaid tail! The cute quote (and maybe some glitter) is totally optional. You'll be amazed at how much you can learn in this 1.5 hour class for beginners.
Join us virtually via Zoom to create this beginning acrylic painting of a Mermaid Tail on June 15, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM MST via Zoom.
Registration required by June 14th. Class size is limited. FREE supply kits provided.
Each attendee may pick up a free supply kit at the 2nd Floor Information Desk beginning Saturday, June 5th at 10:00 AM MST.
The last date to pick up the supply kit is June 15th by Noon. You may pick up your supply kits during library open hours.
The supply kit will include:
1 - 8x10 canvas board
2-3 - paintbrushes (please return these to the library after the event)
4 - Disposable containers with white, blue, yellow & red paint colors
1 - small paper plate palette
Attendees will need to supply:
Paper towels
Cup with water
Glitter (optional)
Black Sharpie or paint (optional)
Instructor Bio: Danica Thurber moved to the Boise area in 2018 and fell in love with it's unique landscape, its thriving art community, and of course, the people who live here! Danica is a professional artist, and she also teaches art and therapeutic art virtually. Danica's teaching style is patient and encouraging. If you're a beginner, or just looking for something fun to do, you're in safe (paint-covered) hands!
